Michael Margolies
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Margolies has over 25 years of Wall Street experience. Prior to founding Littlebanc, Mr. Margolies was a Managing Director of Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., Inc. where he led the firm’s PIPE practice.  Mr. Margolies founded and served as CEO of independent research provider, Avalon Research Group Inc., from 1995 through its sale in 2004. With over 100 hedge fund and mutual fund clients, Avalon was a top rated independent research firm and founding member of Investorside Research Association, a non-profit trade association of investment research providers not engaging in investment banking. Prior to founding Avalon, Mr. Margolies managed long/short discretionary accounts for M.A. Berman & Co., a boutique money management and brokerage firm with more than $500 million under management. In the eighties to early nineties, Mr. Margolies managed discretionary accounts as a Senior V.P. and Limited Partner at Oppenheimer and Company in New York.

Menachem Kranz
Managing Partner

Menachem Kranz is a co-founder of Littlebanc. Mr. Kranz has worked for over a decade in the securities and finance industry, most recently as vice president in the PIPEs practice at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Prior to joining Ladenburg, Mr. Kranz leveraged his extensive contacts and relationships within the hedge and mutual fund communities in a variety of contexts, including as a hybrid trader with RBC Capital Markets and a senior vice president of institutional research sales at Avalon Research Group Inc. where he was instrumental in the rapid growth and development of the firm. Mr. Kranz’s educational background, Rabbinical College of America, laid the foundation for sound analytical minded process and affability.

Hal Gassenheimer
Chief Financial Officer

Hal Gassenheimer brings over 30 years of financial and general management experience to littlebanc. Prior to joining littlebanc, Hal served as COO for a Receiver in a mortgage servicing entity. Hal served as CFO and for Avalon Research Group until its successful sale. His career includes 23 years in executive positions with ExxonMobil where he developed expertise in international tax, legal and accounting matters; participation as a partner with responsibility for finance in several large real estate development projects where he arranged debt financing and handled reporting requirements with the banks; and 3 years as Treasurer of Cunard Line Limited, a division of Carnival Corporation where he rebuilt the controls, systems and procedures for cash management. Hal also serves as CFO of Avalon Research.

Lyn Davis
Operations Manager & Compliance Director

Ms. Davis has over 8 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Littlebanc Advisors, LLC, Ms. Davis served as Senior Compliance Officer for Boca Raton, FL based American Securities Group, Inc. There she was responsible for overseeing branch personnel and all compliance activities. Prior to that, Ms. Davis handled operations, was a client liaison, and sales support for Amerifinancial and prior to that handled the same functions at Avalon Research Group, Inc. Ms. Davis maintains the General Securities Representative (Series 7), General Securities Principal (Series 24), and Uniform Combined State Law (Series 66) registrations. She also has a Life, Health & Variable Annuity License. Ms. Davis holds a Business Management Degree from Northwood University.

Alejandro Garrote
Investment Banking Analyst

Alejandro Garrote has 4 years of investment and financial experience.  Prior to joining Littlebanc Advisors, LLC, Mr. Garrote served as a Financial Analyst for Banyan Mezzanine Funds, a Private Equity Firm with over $200 million of committted capital that services smaller-middle market companies headquartered primarily in the Southeast.  At Banyan he participated in arranging approximately $100 million in financings, which included analysis, research, underwriting, structuring, documenting, reporting and the monitoring of mezzanine and equity financings across a broad range of industries.  Mr. Garrote holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Miami.
